we hope to spark your interest with our next workshop, held by our amazing Students’ Section for Radiology.
You can be a part of the e-FAST and ultrasound-guided vascular access workshop. During the workshop, you will learn the basics of using ultrasound as well as how to acquire basic diagnostic images of each component of an e-FAST examination.
e-FAST (Extended Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma) is an ultrasound protocol used to detect pleural fluid, pericardial fluid, peritoneal fluid, and pneumothorax. Using wireless ultrasound probes, you will learn how to properly obtain an image of all five important diagnostic windows and what pathologies we can expect in them.
