WORKSHOP - "Every breath you(r) (patient) take(s)" - advanced airway management methods

Scientific program 22.02.2023.

Dear students and doctors,

it is our great pleasure to finally announce the first workshop and the team behind it!  “Every breath you(r) (patient) take(s)” is a workshop that Student Society of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Critical Care from School of Medicine, University of Zagreb has prepared in cooperation with Student Society of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Critical Care from Faculty of Medicine Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek. Their main goal is to teach the basics of advanced airway management with hands-on practice.

Every breath your patient takes, every chest movement he makes, every silence he breaks, every effort he takes you’ll be watching it and we will teach you how to preserve it. Ever heard of ‘VL’, ‘fiber’ or ‘cric’? They are not just fancy slang words, but tehniques that can save a life. The best part? You can learn everyhing about them by participating in this workshops as well as try them on models. You may become breathless while witnessing the amazing spectrum of airway management modalities, but your patients won’t be ever again.

CROSS 18 returns to Zagreb from 25th to 28th of April. Therefore, we cordially invite you to join us and try different methods of advanced airway management such as videolaryngoscopy, flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy intubation and emergency cricothyrotomy as well as participate in various workshops we have prepared for you!
